MaQiT

The Margin change Quantification Tool (MaQiT) is a free-to-use, easy-to-use standalone application that can be used to quantify the distance of margin change and merge/convert multiple GeoJSON files and shapefiles to single shapefiles. Users without a general Matlab license will be prompted to download and install the free Matlab Runtime software that will allow MaQiT to run (warning: this could take up to 1Gb of space on your hard drive!). For users with a general Matlab license, MaQiT can be run without installing Matlab Runtime by copying all script files to a single directory and running the MaQiT.m script.

MaQiT can analayse datasets generated by both GEEDiT/GEEDiT Reviewer, and other pre-existing margin datasets. For datasets not generated by GEEDiT the margin shapefiles must contain a field named ‘Date’ with values in the format YYYY-MM-DD. MaQiT will ignore all other fields. Download all scripts to a new folder. Run by executing MaQiT.m script
